Summary

On today’s episode of UFC Unfiltered, the dynamic duo of Matt Serra and Jim Norton return for a recap of last Saturday’s UFC 282 pay-per-view with Fortis MMA owner and head coach Sayif Saud. Matt and Sayif begin the show talking about the unique motivational and in-fight-advice-giving methods they each use to get a hold of various fighters. Then, the guys begin a recap of the UFC 282 fights by asking Sayif about what it was like seeing his fighter Alex Morono go from dominating the first two rounds of his short-notice fight against welterweight Santiago Ponzinibbio to getting caught in the third round for a knockout loss. As the topic shifts to Paddy Pimblett’s co-main event victory over Jared Gordon and the split draw in the vacant light heavyweight title fight between Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Błachowicz, Sayif states his case for how state Athletic Commissions can clean up MMA judging across the board. The guys wrap up the show by talking about which of the 10 consecutive finishes on Saturday’s card they found most compelling, featherweight Alexander Volkanovski’s quest to become a double champion at lightweight, and much more!

side-eat special in between second and third round.

He pulled that shit off. He was losing two rounds and his tough kid from

1:08.8

Queens, his tough Tiger Showman's kid, and his kid was put his hands on him and it's

stalking him. My guy's into anime. I'm going to power phrase it, but I got in there.

1:20.6

I go, look, forget about those two rounds. Right now, there's three minutes rounds because

1:25.3

it's amateur. I go, he's next three minutes. You're in your fucking anime movie.

1:30.3

You're the hero. I fucking went. He's like, yes, he went out there.

1:35.2

He fired off some kicks, took him down to his back.

1:38.2

He strangled him. It was one of those emotions. It was up there with one of them.

1:46.2

That's so awesome. It's so funny because Matt understands this. Sometimes these local fights

1:54.1

with these local kids, they mean just as fucking much as the fight you have to see.

1:58.3

Just because you can see that to the family, you can see every

emotion, all the people that are there to watch him. It's something else,

2:06.6

minute. That feeling never goes away. That's awesome.

2:09.4

That's a good story, too. That's why I'm glad I'm not fighting because you would have said,

2:13.3

this is your fucking anime movie. I would have went, yeah, and then walked out and got my job broken.

2:21.8

It was very when he fired off the kicks.

2:28.5

Because he did what I told him. When he got to take down, I'm like a band in the front kick,
