that has gone through a litany of changes. We will try and make sense of how

we have gotten to this card. Only man I could be joined by tonight to chat about this big card

and what's going on in the world of mixed martial arts. You know you love him.

Phil Chair Talk, the big Phil combo here with us on a Tuesday night.

It's very rare that I don't talk to you on a Saturday, Phil.

Well, I'm honored to be here on any night of the week, so thank you for having me.

We have lots to discuss.

We're going to be dissecting this card.

We're going to go through the main card, some highlights on the undercard, but I did want to discuss an interesting

transaction over the past week. I think that's maybe the best way we can label it and I don't know how often we've ever kicked things off by chatting about one championship

but maybe that is the genius behind this in and of itself because they have had quite the month acquiring Eddie Alvarez and now former flyway champion Demetrius Johnson in exchange

allowing Ben Asgren out of his contract and the man is going to be coming

out of retirement to fight for the UFC. Starting off with the one championship side of things, Phil,

do you feel that this is going to be kind of a push for one championship in North America

by getting two very recognizable names onto their product next year.

That's a interesting question. I don't really think of it in that regard. I'm not so sure how interested they are in pushing into North America right now.

They certainly do have two notable names, two former U of C champions, so maybe that's something that they're

interested in I just see it more as they're just solidifying their brand in

Asia bringing over Demetries Johnson makes a lot of sense for them because that appeals to their

crowd.
