0:29.8	rope. Let's just get right into it today because we are joined with two members from the iconic, iconic UB40, Mr.
0:38.9	Ginny Brown and Mr. Robin Campbell. Hello boys.
0:42.5	How are you doing? You all right? What is going on today? Where are you guys in the world?
0:47.4	I'm in my back garden. It's beautiful. We have one day a year where the weather is really nice and today is it.
0:56.8	Well, it looks very nice there. I have to say as I sat down to prepare to chat with you guys, I couldn't believe it that it has been 42 years since your first live performance.
1:12.8	You can't believe it. I mean, does that feel like it was yesterday or does it feel like 42 years?
1:20.8	No, it feels like it was a lifetime ago. We do feel like we've been actually for quite a long time, and not usually long time.
1:32.8	Many thousands. I mean, we're going to talk all about that. I want to talk about the new tour that's coming up, the new music and all of that.
1:41.8	But before we get there, that first live show and UB40 coming together, is it true that you guys, I mean, there's this rumor that you were discovered by Chrissy Hynne? Is that true?
1:54.8	I don't know whether we were discovered by her, but we were given our first break by Chrissy, really. We've been playing for a bit.
2:03.8	We've been gigging for about a year around the country, and we were building quite a buzz. In fact, we were already playing in London, which is a long way from where we live.
2:18.8	So we were doing okay, and we were getting a name for ourselves, but Chrissy, because of that, Chrissy came to see us, and she loved us.
2:28.8	She came back to stay after the show and said, I want you on my tour. And she had a number one album and a number one single at the time, and a sold out tour.
2:37.8	So, of course, we undenied and said, yeah, go on then.
2:42.8	And she took us on her tour, and that was the springboard. We released a single while we were on that tour, and when we finished the tour, 30-odd dates later, we were in the top 10 in the charts.
2:56.8	So, you could say she discovered us, but she certainly gave us our first leg up.
3:04.8	Well, you guys were together. She just had a paltry year through this. You don't say no to a tour that sold out.
3:10.8	Chrissy likes everyone to think that she's this hard-nosed, rough chick, but she's really a pussycat. She's lovely. We had a nice time, and we're still friends to this day.
3:24.8	She does want everyone to think that doesn't she?
3:27.8	Oh, for sure. That's her image.
3:30.8	Where did the name UB40 come from?
