The United Auto Workers Union expands the strike and hits forward where it really hurts.

Hollywood actors and the studios still don't have an agreement,

and the IRS says Microsoft has back taxes to pay.

The United Auto Workers Union announced on Wednesday evening that 8,700 members at

Ford's iconic and extremely profitable, Kentucky Truck Plant have joined the strike against the Detroit Automaker.

The UAW said it took the unexpected action after Ford refused to make further movement with bargaining.

UAW President Sean Fain called for the strike at the truck plant and a change of strategy that could

mark a major escalation between the two sides.

The Ford F-series Super Duty Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator are built at this plant.

It is reported to be Ford's largest in terms of employment and revenue.

In a statement provided to seeking Alpha, Ford said the decision by the UAW to call a strike at the Kentucky

Truck Plant is grossly irresponsible but unsurprising.

Ford maintained that it made an outstanding offer that would make a meaningful positive difference

in the quality of life for its 57,000 UAW represented workers.

GM, Ford, and Stellantis have laid off roughly 4,800 workers at factories that are not among the plants that have been hit by the union strikes over the last four weeks. Microsoft said on Wednesday that it had received a notice from the Internal Revenue Service that it owed 28.9 billion dollars in back

taxes plus interest and fines for the tax years 2004 to 2013.

In an 8K filing, Microsoft said it received the notices of proposed

adjustment on September 26th. The company also said in a filing that as of

September 30th that they
