story at the top of the show this is a complicated story tyler perry is blasting a 77 million

dollar sexual assault lawsuit calling it a quote, money grab.

So Tyler Perry is fighting back, really fighting back hard, at a $77 million sexual assault lawsuit, calling it a shameless money grab.

In New Court filings, which I've been going over all morning, Perry claims that the actor and model,

his name is Mario Rodriguez, is putting out outlandish falsehoods with no basis, in fact or law.

He goes on to say that none of this ever happened. And Mario, he alleges that Tyler Perry

made unwanted advances after casting him in a Medea Halloween film. Tyler Perry denies any

misconduct claiming that Mario repeatedly sought financial help and retaliated when the money stopped.

So what Tyler is saying here is that Mario was a struggling actor.

He got the opportunity of a lifetime to be in a Medea movie.

I love those movies. They do make me giggle. They're

very, very successful at the box office. So he was cast in a movie that was going to be a big hit.

These Medea movies do really, really well. So he got a good salary, but not Julia Roberts money.

Nobody knows who Mario Rodriguez is. He's not Brad Pitt. He's not George Clooney.

So he earned a good living, but I think the mistake a lot of people make is they think if

you're on television, if you're in a movie, you're making millions. You're not. I have a lot of

friends who are actors and they make $60,000, $100,000 a year, a good income, but not the 20 million that you

think of when you think of Julia Roberts or a George Clooney. And so Mario was struggling to pay
