0:17.0	Today, we join Scott Pauli in walking through the final book of the Bible, The Revelation of Jesus Christ.

0:40.1	right where we are. Well, let's pick up there today and tell you hastily that the Lord not only meets us

1:01.8	We find this today in the first church mentioned to us in Revelation chapter number two.
1:07.0	It is the church in the city of Ephesus.
1:10.3	Now, I want to read some of this letter to you, but I want you to keep in mind while I'm reading these verses in Revelation 2 that there was another letter written to the church at Ephesus earlier in the New Testament. In fact, there is only one church that we know of that two different letters were written from two different human penmen
1:29.7	and two different stages of church history. And that's the church of the Ephesians. The Apostle
1:35.2	Paul writes under inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Now John writes under inspiration of the Holy
1:40.1	Spirit. See if there are some common themes and also some contrast.
1:45.5	Revelation 2, verse 1, under the angel of the Church of Ephesus write,
1:48.6	These things sayeth he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand,
1:52.7	and walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks.
1:56.1	I know thy works, and thy labor and thy patience,
1:59.6	and how thou canst not bear them which are evil and thou
2:02.6	has tried them which say they are apostles and are not and has found them liars and is born and as
2:07.8	patience and for my namesake has labored and is not fainted and let me just pause and say so far so good
2:14.3	it sounds like this is a strong church and yet yet in the very next verse, Revelation 2,
