Ron, you ever heard of the rule of thumb?

I have heard the rule of thumb.

Tell me, please tell me where it originates from.

It's a little gruesome, to be honest with you.

So cut your thumb off?

Well, no, but actually in the 1700s in the United Kingdom, a law was passed that allowed men to punish their wives as long as they used sticks, no wider than their thumb.

And this idea was remembered, and it eventually gave birth to the rule of thumb.

Because that wall continued into my childhood when my kids, my dad. My dad, no, I'm kidding. Did he, are you one of those people that grew up in the backwoods? He'd be like, go fetch your own, what do they say, like a. Your own stick. Yeah, whatever it is, so you can go get beat with it. No, but I did have my own paddle hanging in my room.

And it got used, so. Like it was a constant reminder. You had to look at it. Exactly. Oh, my gosh. No, I got deeper issues. Deeper, okay. I'm sure you dealt, didn't you have a fraternity paddle or something? Well, I did, but I, I wasn't beaten myself or my kids with it. That was, that was, that was something that you're not allowed to talk about for. I don't know if you're beating. I was beating. I was spanking. Yeah, you're getting your switch there. That's why I'm so tough and, you know. Is that what it is? Mentally tough. Okay. Sounds good. Well, we pulled another bottle here to be able to talk about today. You know, speaking of High West being in the top of the news there. Let's go ahead and let's bring another old bottle of High West that I hadn't been able to pull out yet. Yeah. You go ahead and talk about it. I'm going to keep focusing the camera. Yeah, there's bald and bonds. So this is exciting because this means that it's actually coming from Park City in the high west distillery. So typically they've sourced from MGP, probably Bartsdown Bourbon

from their run with constellation. But yeah, so this is their bald and Bon, which is obviously a minimum of four years, but it says we typically go longer. And good. Four years old, 100 proof distilled in the fall. So, yeah, I'm excited. Try their own distillate. Does it is that what it is? It's their own distillate. It doesn't say distilled in Indiana.
