Hello, everyone, and welcome to the final regular season episode of this week in fantasy baseball. I'm John Cah, and as always, this season, I've been joined by Patrick Fitzgerald. But in this episode, we're going to go over some of the latest news and notes around baseball. We're never going to spend a bunch of time recapping hitter and pitcher performances. We're just going to recap streamers from last week because, again, you don't need

to stream next week. The baseball season's over. So, yeah, it's going to be a little bit of a

little different show. But before we're going to all that, Patrick, how are you doing?

I'm doing all right. I caught my last Orioles game of the season on Monday. They got a 6-0 win

against the race. So that was

nice. Dean Kramer through a gem. Won my third place game last week, thanks to a Sunday

night baseball, Cal Raleigh home run. So took me from a three, I believe it was a 363 deficit

to a 651 victory. So it was a tight matchup and it was a big swing. And other than that, got my Roto Wire OC going, just begging any of my players to steal a base because that's the difference between, you know, be getting first or second in my league in my overall place. So just hoping for the best there. But yeah, how are you? I'm doing okay. I'm not doing that as well in fantasy uh i think i'm in

the third place game in one of my leagues although i'm not really paying too much attention to that

one right now um mostly because i don't want to mess with the people who are playing in the championship

you know picking up waiver wire guys and stuff like that so just step my lineup for the week and then

kind of forgot about it so we'll we'll see how that all shakes out by Sunday. And then in my one Roto league, I think I'm like still potentially could finish in the top half. I think last I checked I was eighth. But it's a weekly league. So I really only check it about two times a week just to see how things are going. So, yeah, hopefully that turns out well for me by the end of the season on Sunday. But twins finally won a series, I think, is against the Rangers. So real baseball is kind of going okay. I also saw my last Twins game on Saturday. That was horrible to watch. But, you know, nonetheless, it was still a fun cap to this season. So, yeah, it's kind of weird. Baseball, at least the regular season, is going away. And now we're going to be deep into the playoffs for the next month. Yep, Zebby, Matthews, and Bailey Over. They saved their best outings of the season for when we either were done with our seasons or you know we didn't need them or had given up on them so i guess that's just the way it goes sometimes but yeah and in the m lb it's nice to see you know playoff race is still happening right seems like there's a couple that could come down to the last day so that'll be fun yeah there was definitely a thought I had maybe like a month ago that the

tigers had everything sewn up, that they were going to be the number one seed in the American

League. And lo and behold, that is not the case anymore. They are right now, I think, the sixth seed

based on wildcard seedings, which is kind of insane. The brewers have managed to hold on to first

place, I believe, in the National League,

but the Mets are just kind of trying to not die, I think is the best way to describe how

they're holding onto that last wildcard spot.

They're trying to not Mets.

Yeah, exactly.
