Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip!
This week Pip is joined by John & Joel of the wonderful Dream Factory podcast to talk TV of the year for 2025!
Not a "top 10" as such, this is more of a run-down of a lot of the incredible TV that we have been blessed with this year, in what has turned out to be a very bumper crop indeed. It's a great selection as there are also a bunch of series that somehow flew under radars there, and hopefully there'll be some sneaky additions you can make to your own viewing schedules. Awesome stuff as always, and loads that you will dig whether you've seen the shows or not. And while you're checking things out, go ahead and listen to The Dream Factory! You'll be in fine company.

| 0:00.0 | Welcome, welcome, welcome. This is the Distraction Pieces podcast episode 649. And what's this? |
| 0:08.1 | The TV of the year episode normally comes out in January. What's going on? Well, I'll tell you what's going on. |
| 0:15.2 | The ever wise and great Mr. John Harris, who's on with me today, message me in maybe end of October, maybe in November |
| 0:23.4 | and said, look, over the Christmas period, loads of people are off work and are looking for |
| 0:29.3 | things to watch. So as the TV of the year, it's not as definitive as the films of the year. |
| 0:35.2 | The films of the year, I'm like, here is my exact |
| 0:37.5 | top 16. This is myself, John Harris and Joel Grove of the Dream Factory podcast, talking about |
| 0:44.4 | our favourite TV of the year. We're not ranking them or giving a certain number. We're just |
| 0:51.2 | talking about our favourites. And we're steered towards stuff you might not have |
| 0:55.2 | seen. So we figured let's record it early and let's put it out early. And here it is. So this is our TV |
| 1:01.4 | of the year episode next week. No, on this coming Friday. I'll be on Dream Factory, I think, |
| 1:07.9 | because we also always record a Dream Factory episode, so check out |
| 1:12.0 | the Dream Factory podcast. Yeah, we're getting towards the end of the year, guys, and it's mad |
| 1:16.1 | how supportive you've all been, particularly with last week's episode. Last week's episode went |
| 1:21.2 | absolutely mad. If you missed it, it was with Infinite Coles. Infinite Coles is a rapper and singer |
| 1:27.8 | and also happens to be the estranged son of Ghostface Killer of the Wutang clan, |
| 1:32.8 | estranged because Ghostface doesn't support their LGBTQIA status and lifestyle. |
| 1:40.2 | So that's a blooming interesting starting point, |
| 1:42.2 | but we spoke about so much beautiful stuff. |
| 1:44.7 | And there was a clip on the Pips Clipsio Instagram channel. |
| 1:48.6 | If you're on Instagram or TikTok or YouTube, please follow Pips Clipsio. |
| 1:53.0 | This particular clip from that just absolutely blew up. |
