currently the vice president, his name is Myron Lizer of the Navajo Nation is a

raging Zionist as Nick said. And I think sometimes people are confused. I often get this question when I'm doing

work on Palestine solidarity within the Native community like I can't believe

Native people would support Israel? Like why would any

Native people or any Native nation support a colonizer, right, when we're

fighting our own colonizer here in the United States and what's in the context at least of the Navajo Nation

there are other indigenous Zionists you know in North America and the United States and Canada

here in the Navajo Nation it has a lot to do with religion.

It has a lot to do with the very successful missionization and Christianization of our people.

And this is something we don't talk much about because it's very

difficult. My own family, I'm only to net or Navajo on my dad's side, my mom is

white, but I grew up in this area, I grew up all around my Navajo family, but most of my Navajo family are Christian.

And I don't know if this is common for my other dinner relatives in the room, but most of my Navajo family

are fundamentalist Christian or Mormon.

And so the Mormons and the different sects

of Protestantism, also Catholicism,

our Pueblo sisters last night I think talked about,

a little bit in depth about the history of Catholicism, especially for Pueblo people.
