It is so great to be back with you on Thanksgiving day. I hope your feasts are

turning out. Everyone's happy and healthy. You know, I was talking to a new friend recently.

A terrific home cook who's an immigrant from West Africa, and I was watching her cook, and, you know, it's like she can make a feast at the drop of a hat, but it's almost like she doesn't know how to cook for anything

fewer than like a dozen people and then she said to me that the culture she grew up in and

what she's brought with her to America. You know it's it's all about

community helping each other out in life and gathering around food that is the

basis of everything.

And that's why she only cooks for huge quantities of people.

And then she told me this other thing about how she didn't really understand the food

in America when she first got here.

Like she had this whole thing about pizza rolls and how pizza rolls really

freaked her out and then she goes but Thanksgiving. Oh why got
