Okay everyone welcome to beat the buzzer practice your pitch in 45 seconds or less we have not our DJ so he's going to be responsible for some sound effects but we have an amazing panel set up here and we have Jason Waller.

We're super excited that this is your new show and we're just ready to get this room started Jason is the has built three companies from scratch into multi million dollar enterprises and he's always looking forward to evolving himself and his businesses while sharing his past success and entrepreneurial insights.

Jason how's about a little bit more about you and like what's going on with this room we love it.

No super excited thank you to everybody for helping set up the room beat the buzzer practice your pitch in 45 seconds think about it when you meet somebody and there's a connection there in your network and you're wanting to grow whatever it is you do I don't care if it's online if it's you trying to get a job or if you trying to sell something you have to master a pitch to get their attention and bring it in 45 seconds so.

So I run a company called power home solar we got about 2000 employees that it finished high school didn't go to college I have four kids and a granddaughter grandson on the way 41 years old we've got a company towards about a billion dollars right now we're trying to take it public in the next two years Kevin clink who's here is one of my business partners he's helped me build three companies so he's been my Batman and Robin combo here but super excited to share that I was on a show called two minute drill with David Meltzer season one three episodes.

This year I'm season two that comes out Bloomberg and Amazon Prime I'm on all 12 episodes and a judge hearing people pitch their business in two minutes so we're doing the speed demon run here we're going to have you do it in 45 seconds.

Yeah we're super excited and we have special guests on the stage Cheryl and Glenn Cheryl is the founder and care of new big things a woman own and women led creative digital agency that brings together a diverse team that uses a new narrative and new necklace blockchain AI box and machine learning to make the world a better place for everyone Cheryl thank you so much for joining us so what are your insights with a 45 second pitch.

Oh well first I also have another job you know I'm chair and founder but I'm also the chief innovation officer at the impact was sounded by Barbara Clark and the impact is one of the most prolific investors in the United States in women led and especially women of color led innovative tech startups we've invested directly in over 60 startups and also in leading investors in over 15 funds.

That are focused on women led companies so we I hear a lot of pitches you know in terms of you know what's a great pitch you know keep it short keep it snappy is there a hook what's the market who's the customer and what's the problem in solution you're you're providing you know if you can answer that in 10 to 30 words you've got a great pitch.

Thank you so much Cheryl those are great tips and next we have Glenn Stern he is the founder of Stern's lending an American wholesale retail and correspondent lender to one of the largest mortgage lenders in the United States so when we love to hear a little bit about you and your tips for the perfect pitch.

Hi there how's everybody doing so I am this little background founded a mortgage company in about 30 years ago.

Stern's lending sold it to black stone about six years ago.

So I have probably had about 30 different companies maybe right now my largest company is kind lending which is a competitor of my old company on a beard my name and I'm also was on the show undercover billionaire for discovery and I'm on a starting on August I mean April 27th.

There's a new show out discovery called undercover billionaire come back city and so I've had a lot of a lot of opportunity with startups with people coming in and trying to kind of give some good ideas and I'd say probably I would agree that I mean keep it concise keep your pitches very relevant with what's going on and I get so many things thrown at me.

It's really more again about your attitude a lot about how passionate you are about what you are talking about and when you start seeing people's eyes glaze over it's time to back off.

Yeah that's very good and thank you so much for that so we're going to do what we love to do starting off this session is actually throwing it out there.

If deep in you can share your pitch to kind of get everyone and stop and excited to practice fairs on stage.
