I remember the first house I ever owned. It was, wow, a long time ago. A little three-bedroom,

1,200 square foot home. We had four small children. But wow, we thought we were in a palace.

Well, in Psalm 30, David really was in a palace. What did he have to say about what God gave him?

Hey friends, welcome back. Appreciate you joining us today for the podcast. Really excited about today's

lesson because it's in Psalm 30, if you want to take a moment

and find that, Psalm 30.

And the introduction to this Psalm says, a Psalm and song at the dedication of the house

of David. So David's palace. And this is exciting for me for a

couple of reasons. First of all, it always helps, at least it helps me when I know the particular

occasion for which a Psalm was written, can I can better understand the context of that

Psalm because I know okay this is the reason it was written for the dedication of his house

secondly you know I've been to Israel on numbers of occasions and it wasn't until recently

that they definitively discovered the Palace of David.

So if you were to go to Israel today and do the City of David tour, it begins really by

descending into the foundations of the Palace of David.
