Boeing will plead guilty to a criminal fraud charge from two crashes of their 737 max jetliners that killed 346 people.

The company was given the choice to enter into a guilty plea and pay a fine or face a trial on the felony criminal

charge of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. The deal would require them to pay an additional

$243.6 million. This specific plea deal is for any wrongdoing Boeing did before the crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia

that does not give them any immunity

for other incidents like the door panel blowing off

earlier this year.
