Today we have the two long-awaited Senate runoff races that will determine which

party gains control of the Senate. Hopefully I'll be back with the results

tomorrow if not I'm sure you'll get a notification or two. Have you ever wondered how many former living defense

secretaries we have left in America?

The answer is 10, and I know that offhand

because this past Sunday, all 10 living former defense

secretaries signed an op ed in the Washington Post expressing that there must be a

peaceful transfer of power and that the military must not be involved in any election disputes.

They noted in the op-ed that civilian and military officials who direct or carry out such measures

could be held criminally accountable and that transfers of power can be a moment of vulnerability

for the country that adversaries can take advantage of.

I mean I just can't imagine what would possess them to write such a letter are they

worried about something? In case you're curious who these

ten defense secretaries are the letter was signed by Dick Cheney, Ashton Carter,

William Cohen, Mark Esper, Robert Gates, Chuck Hagel, James Mattis, Leon Panetta, William Perry, and Donald Rumsfeld.

Not too many liberal socialist snowflakes in this bunch, if you ask me.
