Hey there. Good afternoon. From the KUOW Newsroom, this is Seattle Now. I'm Paige Browning with today's top stories. It's Tuesday, April 28th. Starting at the detention center, Washington State officials are demanding that health inspectors be allowed inside the immigration detention facility in Tacoma. State government reporter Sarah Mises Tan has more today.

The Northwest Ice Processing Center is owned by a private company called Geo Group.

It's denied state health officials entry 10 times in the past three years.

That's despite a law requiring health inspections.

By refusing to let inspectors do their job, the GEO group is violating the law and sending the
