Boston. That toxic smoke that you mentioned from the Canadian wildfires blanketing the

northeast and upper Midwest. It got so bad here in Boston. There was a ground stop for planes here

at Logan Airport. This morning, wildfires and smoke affecting millions from coast to coast.

Overnight in California, firefighters racing to contain the Rosa wildfire,

exploding to 1,200 acres forcing evacuations.

Flames and thick black smoke towering along Highway 74.

Drivers racing past the flames as it swallowed the nearby landscape.

And the Gifford Fire north of Santa Barbara, now over 72,000 acres,

injuring three people and threatening hundreds of structures.

Meanwhile, smoked from more than 700 fires in Canada, causing hazy skies and hazardous air quality

conditions from the Great Lakes to the northeast.
