Last week, the world's oldest living land animal celebrated its 191st birthday on the island of St. Helena.

And as possible, he might be much older.

Jonathan the tortoise was at least 50 years old when he was brought to the island in 1882,

having made the trip from Seychelles.

That's an archipelago in the Indian Ocean, east of Africa.

Per the Guinness record book, Jonathan is believed to have been born circa 1832
