Bruce Saturday was not your typical college football Saturday the injury the

brutal injury for Tuatunga Vialoa just kind of loomed over the whole day and frankly the whole weekend.

As we're recording, like right before we went on to record this, we get an email from Alabama.

The procedure, he had a surgery Monday in Houston, the procedure went as planned, and he is resting comfortably

to his prognosis is excellent, and we expect him to make a full recovery.

He will return to Tuscaloosa in the next several days to begin his rehab on his hip injury.

We know that we're cognizant of the fact that this has been

covered extensively to the already. I mean you can go on the athletic and read six or seven stories probably by now

on to including a couple by myself but Bruce you and I were talking before we

came on about how rare it is for one of the biggest, if not the biggest,

stars in the sport to suffer such a serious injury.

Yeah, you started to go through your mind and think, okay, what kind of parallels?

I'm not just talking about the injury itself, but just where you see somebody who's at the top of their game and like you said arguably the biggest star in

college football and then all of a sudden to have it such a dramatic turn and

such a you know such a heartbreaking situation, the ones that came to mind thinking

about it, you know, last, you know, we had Mackenzie Milton in that situation and it was pretty dire where at one point they worried he might lose his leg at UCF and obviously that's his recovery is still going on.

I thought back to Jaylin Smith the all-American linebacker Notre Dame he got
