Today we are talking about the bearish arguments

that I think are likely to be made over the next few quarters.

Tesla stock on the day finished up 1.76%

to $283.76, this compared to the NASDAQ down 0.50%.

I've been spending a lot of time recently thinking about the next few quarters and kind of how I see them playing out and how the market will react to the news that

Tesla eventually shares.

It looks like model 3 production is finally starting to hit its stride, especially with the

introductions of their performance and dual motor versions.

Despite that, the stock is sitting in the $280 range, which I think is a little bit surprising

given the rate of model 3 production that we're at right now and how quickly that rate seems to be accelerating. I think the main reason for that right

now is that Tesla has lost a lot of credibility throughout this model through

ramp and because it's been a lot slower than was guided for.

There's a lot of skepticism around Tesla's guidance

for the future, whether that's in relation to production

or cash flow or profits or gross margin.

I think the market is just very much in a wait and see

mode right now with Tesla. So that's caused me to spend more time thinking

about when will the actual see part of that wait and see happen. Looking at

Q2 I think financially Tesla's going to have another pretty tough quarter.

At this point I feel like I'm around 90% certain
