0:39.8	Glad to have you join us today for this episode of the Sword and Trial, where Graham and I want to talk about some things that have been on our minds that we've had private conversations about.
0:50.1	We've addressed in the church and recently had a sermon that dealt with some of these issues about how Christians live in the world and how we are to respond to the world.
1:00.4	Too often we can just drift along.
1:03.7	And if you're not standing firm, you're going to be undermined.
1:07.2	And we see this in so many areas, not just in the institutional world that we're in today,
1:13.3	with various institutions, one after the other falling, but you can see it in the lives of
1:18.1	individual believers as well. You can see it in churches as well. So how do we think about that?
1:23.6	What's going on when that happens? when someone who has been standing firm seems to
1:30.2	stumble in a very severe way or some church that has long been a stalwart for the gospel of
1:37.9	Jesus begins to compromise on that gospel or institutions that not too many years ago
1:43.2	were somewhat trustworthy,
1:45.4	or at least seemed to be benign, are now opposed to the things of God and against nature itself.
1:54.1	How do we think about that?
