0:20.3	Graham and I are coming to you today in the wake of the slaughter in Nashville of six innocent lives and seeing what has happened in response to that with heavy hearts and deeply concerned. And as we've talked about it amongst ourselves and with
0:39.6	our fellow elders and with people here in our church in Cape Coral, it just seemed fitting that we
0:44.5	should try to have a conversation about that as well on this episode of the Sword and Trial. So we
0:49.5	appreciate you being part of this. Graham, it's hard to put into words.
0:56.2	The things that we have seen not only in the reporting of what took place in that
1:03.0	massacre at the Covenant Christian School in Nashville, but the aftermath as well. And as Christians, it's a challenge to
1:14.5	process this in proper ways. And I've seen almost A to Z from Christian pastors saying, you know,
1:23.1	no, man, this is the time we've got to be nothing but compassionate and humble and recognize you know
1:29.6	that the transgendered community has been oppressed and so we don't want to add to that to those that
1:36.3	say we need to go and just burn down everything that is being promoted by the radical left and
1:43.2	transgenderism.
1:48.9	And it's a, I understand both extremes, and we need to try to think about it biblically.
1:49.3	And as we've tried to do that ourselves here, there's just been a lot of challenges with it.
1:53.9	But the Bible speaks to these things.
1:55.6	And you and I were talking earlier about one of the proverbs that God has given to us in the word that at least
2:02.7	ought to frame a large part of our approach to these kinds of issues. Why don't you,
2:08.0	why don't you talk about that? Read that for us and talk about it. Yeah, Proverbs 24, 24 and 25 says,
2:13.0	whoever says to the wicked, you are in the right will be cursed by peoples, abhorred by nations,
2:18.6	but those who rebuke the wicked will have delight and a good blessing will come upon them.
2:23.3	And, you know, first off, just thinking about what happened last Monday, just grieved and
2:30.0	sorrowful and grieving with the families of the victims and the whole congregation there at Covenant PCA and the school there at Covenant Christian School.
