Good morning, everyone. I'm Kate Baldwin. It's Tuesday, February 3rd. Here are the five things you need to know to start your day.

Number one, the election. Well, the last one, the one before that, and the next one. That is what President Trump is focused on, now calling on his party to quote-unquote nationalized voting in the United

States. In other words, upending the system that's been in place for, oh, 200 years. Under the

Constitution, the U.S. elections are governed primarily by state law and run by county and other

local officials in thousands of precincts. Here's what he says.

He wants to see now, though.

We want to take over.

We should take over the voting in at least many, 15 places.

The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting.

We have states that are so crooked and they're counting votes, we have

states that I won that show I didn't win. Now you're going to see something in Georgia

where they were able to get with the court order and the ballots. You're going to see some

interesting things come out.

The president is referencing Fulton County, Georgia there, where FBI agents recently seized hundreds of boxes of 2020 election materials.

Take a look at that video. And also new details are coming out about the strange role that the director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, is playing in this now.

In a letter to Democrats, Tulsi Gabbard says that the president asked her to be on

site as part of her authority to oversee election security. Two sources, though, also tells

she put the president on the phone with some of the agents involved in that operation for what

has been described as a quote-unquote pep talk. The FBI has declined to comment. Number two, the crime scene.

That is what the Pima County Sheriff out in Arizona says that they are now treating the house

of Savannah Guthrie's mom, treating it as a crime scene. And they're now offering a $2,500 reward

as they're still searching for Nancy Guthrie, the beloved mother of the anchor of the Today Show.
