Leaders who were once in charge of America's national security are now under criminal investigation.

The FBI confirmed it's looking into former FBI director James Comey and former

CIA director John Brennan. Both of them are frequent critics of President Trump. Brennan left the

CIA in 2017 when Trump first took office, then Trump fired Comey just a few months later. It's believed

they're under investigation for possibly lying to Congress about President Trump's

ties to Russia during his first presidential campaign. But at this point, the FBI has not said

what exactly it's about. President Trump would not speak about the specifics of the investigation

either, but called both Comey and Brennan dishonest and crooked. The president has been especially

critical of Comey recently. He was the subject of an unusual

and invasive IRS audit. And the New York Times cite sources who say earlier this year,

Comey was being tracked by the Secret Service. He was reportedly followed by authorities in

unmarked cars and street clothes and then questioned at the Secret Service headquarters in Washington.
