Yesterday, February 9th, was the 62nd anniversary of the Beatles' appearance on Ed Sullivan.

And not only do I vividly remember watching it with my family on Black & White TV,

but I wrote it down in a journal that I kept as a kid.

And there was a little picture

of a long-haired beetle.

I think it looked like John.

And a caption,

I want to hold your hand.

So it's amazing that we're still talking about this.

I got a lot of attention for this long piece that I wrote yesterday from the perspective of somebody who understands the DNA of the Washington Post, having worked there for 29 years, and looking at Bezos's role and how it has changed, Jeff Bezos, of course,

over the years, and saying that he should sell the paper because he's obviously lost interest

in it, hasn't made any comment on cutting a third of the staff, and just seems to me that, you know, he's a jet-setter Jeff now, and he's changed,

and he's trying to cozy up with some success to Donald Trump.

So this was picked up by drudge, it was picked up by Mediite.

I mean, it's always nice when you get a little wider distribution for your work.

And I just, you know, anybody who's worked there and I sort of professionally grew up there

is very sad to see that the once great paper of Woodward and Bernstein and Bradley is now just a shell

of its former self. At the Olympics, Lindsay Vaughn saying yesterday that she suffered a, she broke her leg, complex fracture in her violent crash.
