Then it's Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, who was a Civil War era surgeon, women's rights advocate, an abolitionist,

Polly Murray, a poet, a writer, an activist and a lawyer, and also a strong advocate for civil

rights, and Citcalasa, also known as Gertrude Simmons Bonin, a songwriter, a songwriter and

a songwriter and educator political activist for the rights of Native Americans.
