We are following breaking news. We're awaiting comments from President Trump in Davos, Switzerland, at an announcement ceremony for his proposed Board of Peace Charter.

We'll cover that live as soon as it happens, but first, let's recap where things

stand on what has been a whirlwind, 36 hours. President Trump is dropping his threats

of terrorists on European countries after agreeing to a framework of a future deal on Greenland.

The president made that announcement in a social media post, adding that Vice President

J.D. Van, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, will lead negotiations

over a potential deal. But the president gave very few details during an interview with CNBC.

Well, we have a concept of a deal.

I think it's going to be a very good deal for the United States, also for them.

And we're going to work together on something having to do with the Arctic as a whole,

but also Greenland.

And it has to do with the security, great security, strong security, and other things.

The mark of 600 points, getting back a lot of some of the nervousness we had in the last

couple of days.

The tariffs are off.

Nothing happens on February 1st?

No, we took that off because it looks like we have pretty much a concept of a deal.

A deal of ownership, a deal? Well, it's a little bit complex, but we'll explain it down the line.

But the Secretary General of NATO and I and some other people were talking,

and it's a kind of a deal that I wanted to be able to make.

Now, as for that NATO Secretary General, he was asked if Greenland would remain a Danish territory under this concept of a deal.
