at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Three law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation

told NBC that at least three people are dead. This is not including the shooter. Of course the

number of victims could change as the extent of injuries remains unknown. The

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said there is no more threat to the community and that the suspect is dead.

They also said that one victim is in critical condition at a local area hospital.

What we don't know are the who and the why or whether there even was a motive.
