This time in our longform weekend podcast - Glenn gives us an update on the Trump Trials.
1. First, Judge Tanya Chutkan gives Trump a March 4th, 2024 date in his federal trial for his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Glenn discusses what he saw from inside the courtroom at Trump's status hearing.
2. Then he goes over the latest on DA Fani Willis' RICO prosecution of Trump and company in Georgia, including the speedy trial demands by defendants Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell; and Mark Meadows' attempt to get his case transferred from Georgia state court to federal court. 4. Then lastly, Glenn has written an MSNBC opinion piece on the pros and cons of being among the first defendants to go to trial in the Georgia election interference case. Trump has made it clear that he doesn't want a speedy trial but some of his co-defendants seem to be champing at the bit to get to trial as soon as possible. Glenn says all eyes will be on the Kenneth Chesebro trial which is set for October 23rd.
