senior figures in the federal government among a relatively small group of people on whom Donald Trump

relies to advise him and to carry out his agenda. But if you had to hire one of

these people, who would you choose? Might be worth taking a closer look at the job that they've all done

so far. Let's start with Christy Knoem, the former governor of South Dakota, who also served four

terms in Congress. She's now the head of the Department of Homeland Security in charge of much

of this country's immigration enforcement apparatus, plus FEMA, the Coast Guard,

the TSA, and more. It is an impressive resume, but the events that have unfolded under her watch

over just the first six weeks of this year alone threatened to bring down her entire career.

Two unarmed American citizens have been shot and killed in broad daylight by federal agents

after video evidence appears to contradict their sworn testimony about how that shooting went down.
