I'd like to unravel it a little. But first let me be clear. I have listened. I have read defenses of listen to read his comments on John McCain.

John McCain called people who support Donald Trump crazies.

That was a foolish comment. There's no way around it.

It's absurd.

I mean, I'll just tell you it's not for me it is not theoretical.

Some of the people I most respect in this world

have been supportive of Donald Trump's comments

on illegal immigration or his not every single comment but his general alarm

sounding about illegal immigration agree with him or not that is not a crazy necessarily right let's let's let's be

clear about that okay so it's a stupid comment and a sophisticated man says,

it's clear that I have caused some panic among some Republicans to dismiss a significant body of

Republicans is crazy. It's pretty stupid. It's pretty stupid. No wonder he lost his race for the presidency. You could say you could have said that. I'm not saying I'm saying that. I'm saying that would have been an appropriate response and an effective response.
