President Donald Trump releases a farewell video on his last day as president, as President-elect Joe Biden mourns 400,000 American Covid Deaths. As The United States reaches a record of Covid deaths, Biden says, "to heal, we must remember." Biden is now hours away from being sworn in as the 46th president of the United States. Trump is secluded in the final moments of his presidency. There is a frantic scramble behind the scenes at the White House over whether Steve Bannon will be granted a pardon from Trump. More than 100 pardons are expected from the president at any moment. Several of Trump's allies will skip his departure ceremony. A White House senior adviser tells CNN that Trump, "sending the mob was a red line." Mitch McConnell says that Trump "provoked" the insurrection earlier this month. He also says the the violent mob was "fed lies" by Trump. He keeps the door open to convicting Trump in the upcoming senate trial. Hawley vows to block any quick conformation of Biden's homeland security pick over immigration policies. Prosecutors says that member of the Oath Keepers planned the attack and one was told this is "everything we f*ucking trained for."
