Everyone started their day. If you're on the East Coast, you're ending your day and

everyone's doing just about fine. You can have the rule of law in America. Indeed, you're

supposed to and not worry about who gets ensnared by it as long as it is faithfully and fairly

executed. So in a way, here we are,

a day out from what we went through yesterday and everything's okay. That alone is a good thing,

regardless of how this case involving the former president is ultimately resolved. The reality,

though, is one that is different for defendant Donald Trump. This is his first full day

dealing with an open criminal case against

him, not his lawyer, not his CFO, not one of his many aides. This is something that he has

never experienced himself. And only he can say how much he thought about or empathized with all

the many other people who were in this position, who woke up and said, wow, today I'm a

criminal defendant. Wow, there's new rules. Wow. Yesterday was really something I'd never been

through before. The pressure is building. And if you've heard these conversations about who goes

first or second and where the pressure is, remember, as we've shown you with facts, jurisdictions are

deliberately separate in America. That has been true since the founding. So what one local

jurisdiction does on its timeline based on what evidence it has of crimes in its jurisdiction

is separate from what other jurisdictions do or what the feds do. So this is a complete coincidence. It is not

linked to the arraignment that we've been reporting on regarding Donald Trump, but it is breaking

late in the day that Vice President Pence has continued to basically accept the loss we already

reported on. He will testify before a grand jury in the January 6th probe by the DOJ

special counsel. Now, this is the law. I'm not telling you something that Pence independently
