Jobs jobs jobs.

It's written on the blue posters that reign President Trump's rallies, but right now,

the prospects for job growth are looking pretty weak and to the extent that Washington has

any influence over economic growth.

President Trump has decided to take his ball and go home until after the election.

At least that's what his announcement this week amounts to.

Many tweeted on Tuesday that talks over a new COVID stimulus package worth through.

For months, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have been negotiating

on and off over a spending deal with Democrats aiming for a bill over $2 trillion and Republicans

looking for something that was about half of that.

With the President's announcement, those negotiations are on ice, at least until after the

election or until a new tweet.

So why would the President give up a stimulus package that would just the economy, just

his voters head to the polls, and why does Trump think the lame duck period will be any better

for him when the same players will still hold the positions of power until January?

The day of the vice presidential debate that is supposed to take place tonight, so we're

going to have to all watch that together to see what happens.
