It is day 213 of the second Trump administration. And tonight, the Texas

House approved new congressional maps that will likely give Republicans five new seats in the

midterm elections. The state Senate will take it up tomorrow and Governor Greg Abbott could sign it

as early as this Friday. It is a major win for President Donald Trump who pushed Abbott to call

the special session for this very reason. Texas Democrats returned to vote two weeks after they fled

said after it passed. We knew as members of the minority party that we were not going to be able to kill this
