Most of President-elect Trump's nominations or proposed nominations to his cabinet and other positions have been greeted

generally with approval.

Obviously, some Democrats don't like it, but sufficient approval so that they'll get through

the Senate, which will have at least 53, the Republicans.

His most recent nomination, however,

or hasn't been a nomination,

his announcement that he proposes to nominate Matt Getz

as Attorney General is a different matter completely.

That will not get through the Senate.

It will not make it through the Senate.

I can already count on at least three Republican senators who will not vote for it.

And if you get four, the nomination is dead. All you need is, obviously, a vote of 50-50

with the vice president casting the vote in favor.

But I hear, I'm not, again, talking as a legal scholar.
