Israel says its ground offensive in Gaza City is underway.

The military says some 20,000 troops are committed to conquering and occupying the city.

Taking on what an Israeli military official says is a Hamas force of between 2,000 and 3,000 militants. Yesterday, a spokesperson for the military gave a timeline for when it will be complete.

We will act until the war objectives are achieved.

We estimate it will take several months to secure the city and its centers of gravity.

Health authorities in Gaza said at least 93 Palestinians have been killed in northern Gaza alone,

as the city is hit by heavy bombardments and aerial strikes.

As the military escalates its assault, it says some 350,000 people have fled Gaza City,

with Israel encouraging the roughly one million population to evacuate.

But not everyone has the capacity to leave, as CNN spoke to this woman.
