All eyes will be on the markets this week after President Donald Trump's tariff announcement

last week since stocks tumbling. A selloff erased over $5 trillion in market value in the S&P 500

for the two trading days after Trump announced the tariffs. Economists have warned that Trump's tariffs have heightened the likelihood of a recession,

with one forecaster predicting it entirely.

Trump, meanwhile, last night, defended his massive tariffs that have rattled investors

telling reporters, quote,

sometimes you have to take medicine to fix something, unquote.
