Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and a senior faculty fellow at the

Belfour Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard. He's also a visiting

professor at Singhua University in Beijing. He's the author of 15 books, including The Pity of War,

The House of Rothschild, Empire, Civilization, and Kissinger, the Idealist, which won the Council

on Foreign Relations Arthur Ross Prize.

He's an award-winning filmmaker as well, having won an international Emmy for his PDS series,

The Ascent of Money.

In addition to writing a regular column for Bloomberg, he's the founder and managing director

of Greenmantle LLC.
