America, we got to get back to doing what's expected of us as free citizens in this democracy.

That means being tolerant, being respectful, staying informed, and being engaged.

Hey, three thoughts this morning, and thank you all of you, all billion or so of you who've joined me,

former Congressman Joe Walsh this morning, former Republican, new like about eight, nine days old,

new Democrat, proud new Democrat. Thank you for joining me, whoever you are, Trump supporter,

Trump opponent and everybody in between.

I've got three things that I want to get off of my chest this morning.

I look forward to your reaction to these three things.

This is not the show that you tune into to be updated, right?

This is not a news show.

This is just we're living through historic times.

We're living through seminal times.

We're living through a period right now that will dictate the future of this country.

And I think it's important for all of us to just have

some perspective, just some understanding about what we're going through. I'm not going to provide

daily updates on what happened today. I'm going to spend more time on this show talking about

what it all might mean what it means here's thing number one I've got to get off of my chest

you serve in our military you put the uniform on and you serve this country you swear to defend this whole country the entire country

when you're a member of america's military and you put that uniform on, you defend all Americans, no matter their political persuasions.

You have an oath to the Constitution, not a president, not a political leader. You're not a president not a political leader you swear to defend the constitution to defend this democracy
