There is a new book out about Janus.

And really, the book's not about Janus, more than it is a book that is a Jason Kidd hit piece.

Mirren Fader, who I love, great follow, and she follows me.

So I want to put a lot of respect on Miran Fader.

She's an excellent reporter and a great writer.

But there are a couple of things

that have been said about Jason Kidd in this book that I could say are troubling, troubling,

especially given the fact that he's now the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks coaching a

superstar in Luca. But I'll get back around to why I'm not concerned about that in a second.

But one incident apparently occurred during his tenure with the Bucks consisting of

Kid allegedly scheduling a last minute practice on Christmas.

After the team lost to the Charlotte Hornets in what the former coach called a winnable game.

According to the book, Kid asked players in front of each other whether they deserved to be off on Christmas Eve after the loss.

The players, of course, were like, yeah, I think we do. Like, it's just a loss in

the middle of the fucking season. Yeah, it was a winnable game, but like you're a madman. All these

games are quote unquote winnable. Nobody's really scheming. Nobody's really planning. It's just

game after game after game. It's fucking Christmas. Yes, we deserve to be off. And then he was like, you know, I don't care that you think you should be off on Christmas.

I don't care that you've planned to see your family.

You're taking planes and trains on automobiles.

No, no.

I have booked a 9 a.m. practice for Christmas Eve.

You guys get paid to do a job, so you're going to do your job tomorrow.
