We're going to be talking about guns for an hour or more.

Well, we talk about guns all the time actually. I just got two new guns three two new guns

both Ruger number one's single shot rifles. I mentioned that I had picked up a really nice one in 257 weathery and then this week I got one that is the only one of its kind

It's the only one in the world

Aruga number one chambered in the six-five PRC cartridge

That's kind of a 65 Creedmoor Magnum if you will. It gets 2 to 300 feet per second more than the 6.5 Creed more. Originally the idea was to use that in hunting

or rather and for competition for PRS competition but the more you look at it the

more you think that's a pretty darn nice hunting cartridge shooting

140 grain or that class grain bullets you have a high sectional density a high ballistic

coefficient and you can push them out at pretty close to 3,000 feet per second you're

carrying the mowed four or five six hundred yards down range and out to 400 yards you're basically don't have a whole lot to worry about as far as drop or wind drift.

Frankly it's going to, in my first initial look at it, I think the cartridge outperforms the venerable 270 Winchester

with a little bit less recoil, certainly a good bit less recoil than a 7 mag or 300 mag and performing as well as those at those

distances.
