Another week, another episode. What did we get to? Well, we kicked off in true

tribe fashion talking about Elon Musk and the latest AI tool to be added to X. Don has another

winch? Pretty much. Then we discussed bond ventures, returning some capital from an investment in employment

hero.

Then we talked about some recent rounds, including some down valuations for Appen and some

commentary around that, but then leading into some positive news of eight Aussie startups

that have raised 81 million

recently. Yeah the biggest being a Leonardo.aI that raised 47 million. What we found

really interesting with the other seven companies was the broadness of companies that had raised

capital and we got onto the ever-expanding death tech and talked a little bit about one of

those companies. It's always nice to have the uplifting discussion of death and the survival of it.

And then that led into a bit of chat on more VCs and PE getting on the Boring train

looking at Boring B2B tech solutions.

And we unpack that a little bit to talk about why we focus there.

Boring is good, water's warm.

Then we discussed some other AI companies that recently raised.

They were relevance and closed.

And then we chatted about the latest Blackbird coverage and how they're coming under pressure on a couple of different fronts and just sharing our views on their value contribution to the ecosystem, but that then led into also a broader conversation around some of the gender diversity issues in the investment landscape.

Yeah.

And one of the areas that Blackbird has come under pressure for is around diversity,

which led us into a great initiative called Grapevine that has been launched,

and we put forward our thoughts on Grapevine and made our commitments towards it.
