What did we get to this week?

So we kicked off talking about David Swan's article on Canver and we discussed their changes

that might be coming for them ahead of their IPO.

Yeah, that was a really good long form article. And then that segued into the Accidental Angel of Ray Nong,

which then led us into the great new podcast that Cheryl Mack and Maxine Minter have launched.

And the first episode was with Jesse Wu, so we unpacked that a little bit in terms of what we really enjoyed.

I thought that was great.

And then that led into a bit of a convo about predictions of M&A and IPO activity for next year with predictions a lot of companies are going to be running out of cash pretty soon.

Yeah, which led us to, it's one thing to get into an investment and to put money down,

but when's the right time to sell?

How much should you sell if you're a fund?

We found an article that shared some ideas, which I thought was really helpful.

And then we really quickly touched on Startmate, Accelerator program, some advice that they're

giving founders and also about their own funding model.

Yeah, which then led into Simon Thompson.

Last week had done a story into a study that was done on founders and their

personalities, which we all know that founders have interesting personalities, but this study put

some empirical evidence behind that. And whilst the study's really important, and I thought

Simon's article was really great. Understanding style and even having diversity

is required but it's not sufficient. So we then shared some ideas and some ingredients or what are

some of the other ingredients that are required in order to achieve success. There's a great little deep dive
