Welcome, sweaty and pissed listeners. This is Karen Nicholl, nurse practitioner in for sweaty and pissed menopause and more.

And I am so excited to have with me two lovely guests, Dr. Kirk Bass and Mandy Baker and they are from the Shay aesthetic clinic and we're going to talk about urinary incontinence today.

And I know that that's a problem that a lot of our listeners experience, a lot of my patients experience and I think this conversation is going to be really helpful for you.

Dr. Bass currently practices neonatal medicine after completing his doctor of medicine with honors at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

His pediatrics residency program at East Virginia Medical School and his fellowship training in neonatal medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City.

So quite a resume there and you may wonder why how a neonatologist stepped into the world of aesthetics and I understand that your sister played an important role in that decision.

Do you mind sharing that story with our listeners?

Sure, I'd be happy to have a beautiful sister who passed away from breast cancer in 2012.

And she saw a life as a beautiful thing and she was a beautiful person in and out and it was everyone that was around her, you know, found beauty because she was such a sweet, loving, happy soul.

And so, you know, I really felt, I learned from Melania's her name, you know, what tree beauty really is and tree beauty is really what we give of ourselves to others.

It's the relationships we develop with other people. It's the sweet interactions we have with our family and our friends.

And I knew that I'd like to, you know, have that as my motivation for anything in life, of course.

But as I was busy in the intensive care unit with little babies, I thought it'd be nice to have an opportunity to take care of patients that were, you know, stress free and happy and excited and smiling and do something that could help build people's confidence and build people's

happiness, I guess, with themselves and help people understand that they are beautiful.

The sign on the front door says, hello, beautiful, because we want people to know that they are beautiful. And that's our motivation.

Well, that's an incredible, incredible story and a wonderful motivation and I, having been in your clinic, it is a beautiful place, a very peaceful place.

And the staff really exudes that philosophy, which I think is so important.

And speaking of staff, we also have Mandy Baker with us today and she is a registered nurse with 11 years of experience in a neonatal intensive care unit.

I wonder how she knows Dr. Bass.

And she aesthetic clinic, she runs the Medical Weight Loss Program and provides clinical expertise with services such as skin tightening, microneedling, hair restoration, laser hair removal, photo facials, body contouring and hydrophasials.
