Over the past year, the average international trip for an American traveler

cost $6,080, with Norway being the most expensive destination for Americans coming in at a

whopping $9,754.54. But if you're listening to this podcast, thankfully you know it doesn't have to be

near that expensive. Over the past four years that we have been compiling our travel stats at the end of the

year every single year we have been on over 15 flights per year and some of those years

2015 was a crazy year.

We were well over 15 flights.

But the only way that we've been able to take that many flights, the only reason we've been able to go so many destinations, the only reason we've been able to see so many amazing things, is because each time we travel we are not spending what the average American traveler

spends I told you a six thousand dollars the average American spends on an

international trip which is absolutely mind-blowing to me if we were traveling in that way we certainly

wouldn't be able to do all the things that we are able to do. And of course the biggest

expense when it comes to international travel is going to be the airfare getting there and

getting home. We've been able to figure out two ways to make that airfare way

way way way way way way way less than the average American traveler is paying.

The first is by using frequent flyer miles to game the system to be able to get super
