My guest today was a special boat operator in the Navy who served the country for 16 years and is now an ICF certified transformational coach.

Thanks, Jeff. Yeah. So let's jump in.

Can you tell us like a little bit about your military background and like how you got into the

military and kind of what parts of the world you were in? Absolutely. I was one of those that was,

I was 20 years old when the towers went down. I'd gotten lost in the workforce for a couple of years and then found myself in my first year of college. And I think I was about a month in when the towers went down. And I wasn't sure why I was at college. I just I was there and I was majoring in music

business and I wasn't sure why I was doing that either. So when something so profound as the

towers happen, it didn't take long for me to get bit by the patriotism bug. And in my spare time, I watched entirely too many war movies. And so I went

down to the recruiter not long after. And it took me about, I guess, just not quite a year to get in.

Right. So apparently other people had the exact same idea,

and it took them a little while to sort through all of that

for me to get into the Navy to finish my whole year of college

and then get on that airplane, go to boot camp.

So my reasoning was like many young men in their 20s

at that time went and joined up. And it was a wild ride.

You know, I did I did the fleet first. I was a gunner's mate on a on a end or it was on a

cruiser, right? It was the USS Anzio. I was there for just shy of three total years, did some leadership

stuff there. And the whole while I was trying to figure out how to get into special operations.

And we were out to sea one day in a ship, the ship was out to sea doing some maneuvers.

And I saw a special boat come up at faster than i've

ever seen a boat go and came up alongside and then like turn 90 degrees and kind of disappeared

and i knew from that moment i wanted to do do that and it took me probably six months to find out
