I'm your host, Matthew Krull, and this is episode number 35 of

the Imagineer podcast. In today's podcast episode, we are going to be celebrating the close of the year

2018. I hope it was by far your best year yet, and that you are really looking forward to the year to come ahead.

And in order to celebrate, we're going to be journeying together over to Trader Sam's Grasado

over at Disney's Polynesian Village at Walt Disney World.

For those of you who have not had the chance to visit Trader Sam, since it's usually referred to,

it is a lounge that is found over at Disney's Pollination Village. It's a little hard to find,

but that's one of the things that makes it a really exciting place to go and adds to the

experience of Trader Sam's because the overall theme of it is supposed to be that you're

finding this grotto, this sort of

mystical hidden gem in the middle of the Polynesian. And if you think about the history of the

attraction, the enchanted Tiki Room, it was originally supposed to be created as a dining experience

where you would have audio animatronic birds

singing and performing around you as you were dining. Ultimately, that was transformed to what it is

today, the Enchanted Tiki Room, as an attraction, a show over at the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park.

So I find that Trader Sam's in many ways pays tribute to the original vision of the enchanted

Tiki Room, where you're able to lounge and enjoy some beverages, adult beverages, as well

as some cuisine that you can purchase as well.

In a lounge setting, it is an intimate lounge.
