Atlantic and today we're going to be talking about a persistent problem in the technology

industry namely where are the women? There are people who do want to do the

right thing and they don't know where to start. My guest is Tracy Chow

she's a leader in the fight for equality in Silicon Valley.

She's a software engineer. She's formerly with Google and Pinterest or Pinterest.

I've never actually heard the word said aloud before.

And she started a group called

Project Include which is there to help companies that want to do better on the issue of

equality.

People who are starting companies or early-stage startups were asking us like okay so I care about diversity

what do I do?

Thank you so much for having me. Yeah you're in

Cape Town which is far away from where I am. What are you doing in Cape Town? I'm here partly

for holiday and also for a couple of work projects. Holiday, you say that like you're an English person.

I'm trying to pick up the local lingo.

and you've had a very, very interesting role

in a large and continuing controversy in the

tech industry.
