Summary

Bobby Brown was a dominant force at contests starting in 2010, and by 2017, it looked like he was on his way to his second Olympic Games, until that dream was taken away by injury. Knowing that traditional contests weren’t in his future, Bobby pivoted and took his tricks to the backcountry.  Now, his pro ski life is totally different than when we talked in 2017, and this time around, we discuss his latest project, sponsor changes, breaking his back, Dynamic Medium, and a whole lot more. Peter Olenick asks a couple Inappropriate Questions

I'm your host Mike Powell, and holy shit.

I'm just back from Vegas after seeing Dead & Company at the Sphere.

0:23.6

And let me tell you, that was a face-melting mind-muffing blown time.

0:27.6

The visuals were something I've never experienced before and the sound was so good.

0:32.6

If a band you like is playing the Sphere, go see them.

It truly is a bucket list experience. I went again

with my high school buddy Steve and his crew, and again I made new friends with awesome people,

0:44.0

and I even went crystal shopping with a couple of the dudes, which is totally not my style.

I guess when you go see the dead, hippie shit is okay, and other things are okay too. What

wasn't hippie was where I was staying.

I have another good friend from high school, Carrie, who used to work at one of the A-list

casinos in Vegas. But recently, she switched jobs and headed on over to the Rio. You may be wondering

1:05.4

why she would go from an A-list casino to the Rio, because I thought the same thing. But some

people like a challenge in life.

1:12.1

And Carrie's one of those people. She and her team are planning on turning the Rio into an A-list

hotel once again like it was back in the 90s. And that has already started. In my three nights at the

1:22.4

Rio, I could already notice the differences. An incredible new food court, renovated new rooms that were huge,

1:28.3

and all new carpet that really brightens up the place. It was all coming together so nicely,

and that's only like six months into the renovation. So I'm sure by next year it is going
